I have always loved what I do. Being a hairstylist is a dream job for this right brain, ADHD, chaotic mind of a girl that I am. There is just something about doing hair that is very zen for me. Most of my clients will tell you, when I get lost in what I am doing, I go to a whole other place. It is my happy place. :-)
I was privilaged enough this past weekend to attend the International Salon and Spa Expo Midwest in Chicago, IL and was amazed at how inspired it has made me in this wonderful business! For two whole days my sister Jeanie (who is also a hairstylist) and I attended classes of a wide variety, cruised the isles for the newest and best new products, and purchased quite a few new toys along the way. I will have to say that the classes were the best part of the whole weekend. There is nothing quite like being in the presence of hair styling royalty.
This blog is dedicated to my clients; past, present, and future. I don't know where I would be without them. They are a large part of my life and I consider them all family.
